Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2025
WEBINARS
A more resilient, green and digital European construction ecosystem:
Construction is the second largest industrial ecosystem in the EU, both in economic and employment terms. It is a major contributor to economic growth and job creation in Europe, and provides important solutions to social, climate and energy challenges. As such, it plays an important role in Europe’s economy. At the same time, it is also one of the most resource intensive sectors of the economy, with the greatest need to develop more productive practices and improved use of secondary materials.
In the first webinar in the series, the updated EU industrial strategy will be discussed and how the construction ecosystem must transform its business models and value chains to become the foundation of a green, digital and resilient European economy. Case studies will highlight the need for cooperation with industry, public authorities, social partners and stakeholders to navigate the transition pathway for construction to achieve a resilient, competitive, greener, and more digital construction ecosystem. There will be a focus on how we could achieve more liveable, healthy and sustainable urban environment with safer buildings and affordable housing.
